Dear Investors,

It is a great pleasure for me to invite you on behalf of the people of Bonaire to participate at our 1st Annual Investment Conference to be held on November 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2005.

We are very excited with regard to this event, not only because our Government is a firm believer that micro and small businesses are the backbone of our economy, but also because it can be seen as a stepping stone towards the achievements of our set objective, which is sustainable growth for all parties involved while maintaining our nature and culture.

The Bonairean Government has started a structural process of improving its investment climate and at the same time stimulating competitiveness, within the philosophy that the private sector is the engine of economic growth.

The major economic activity areas of concentration are: Tourism, Medium and Small Business Development, Airport and Seaport business development, E-Commerce, Ecological Projects and Telecommunications.
